“The President of the United States, Joe Biden, stated in an interview that there is a “possibility” that he will hold a summit meeting with Chinese President Xi Jinping next month.

Biden mentioned that no specific meeting has been scheduled yet, but the possibility still exists.

He also expressed hope that the high-level US-China meeting will take place alongside the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) summit in San Francisco, USA.

Despite significant differences between the two countries regarding Taiwan and advanced semiconductor technology, the Biden administration hopes to stabilize relations through frequent dialogue with China.

If a direct meeting between the leaders of the United States and China takes place, it will be the first meeting since the meeting in Bali, Indonesia, in November last year.

The Washington Post reported that the US government has begun comprehensive preparations for the upcoming summit.

In addition, there is information that China’s top diplomat, Wang Yi, will soon visit Washington and is expected to prepare for the summit.

However, no official information about the specific schedule of the meeting has been announced.”
